Our Story
In 2018 my family and I drove up to the farm and absolutely fell in love with its charm. Our first rescue Mocha would not let anyone touch her and would scream when you tried. I spent several hours playing her music and just hanging out in the stall and realized I found my passion. Mocha along with 11 other horses, goats, sheep and donkeys are why we have developed into what we are today. We adore having our guests and rescues interact, you can see the healing in humans and animals alike. I feel so incredibly blessed to be able to help these animals. Pony Creek Veterans Horse and Livestock Sanctuary Inc. became a 501(c)3 non-profit in October 2023. Come and stay in in one of our 3 Airbnb's and see these incredible animals and enjoy the trails, mill and all its charm that we fell so in love with!
First Rescue
Before
Mocha would scream when you would try and pet her. It took several months for her to trust and know she was safe. She still has anxiety but she has come so far!
After
Mocha is now the princess of the farm. She loves treats from the guests and loves to sneak up and rub herself on me and others.
